Carbon Footprint Compensation

The idea is to signify the concrete involvement of IAJES in the urgency to:

  • avoid as much as possible the air travels

  • compensate the carbon footprint when the air travels are required

  • discern the most efficient ways of compensation in the spirit of integral ecology: Ecosystem reconstruction in good agreement with local stakeholders

We choose the initiative: www.idesam.org

Established in 2004, the Institute of Conservation and Sustainable Development of the Amazon (IDESAM), is a non-governmental, non-profit organization. IDESAM’s headquarters is located in Manaus, Amazonas State, but projects are spread throughout all the Amazon region.

Mission

Promote the valorization and sustainable use of natural resources in the Amazon and seek alternatives for environmental conservation, social development and mitigation of climate change.

As you can see from the tables below, there are several differences in how the footprint compensation can be calculated.

For the sake of simplicity, we have retained an average participation of 60€. The contribution is voluntary.

The total amount collected will be donated to the IDESAM Association.

In Toulouse, we will hear a testimony of the good work carried out by IDESAM in the spirit of integral ecology.
